The goal was to revive the dusty, old Viking-brand while still respecting the legacy of the company.
Designing a new strong, modern and recognizable visual identity, with subtle visual references to the historical legacy and the viking spirit.
The re-design is based on the core values of the Viking brand; awareness and respect for the environment and raw materials as well as focus on solid craftsmanship and relations between brand and customer.
The logo is a simplified modern representation of Binding Runes, old Viking symbols, each of which represents positive messages. The dynamic logo and tagline acts like a loving greeting from the Viking Brand to its customers, supporting the unique relation.
The different logos are consistent across all media, used both 2-dimensional on digital media and print media and 3-dimensional as forming various products and packaging.
The different logos form the basis for the design of packaging series, which can be recycled for storing.
